I'm looking at a '59 Ranchero that doesn't have the original seat which is a bit of a deal breaker for me. Does anyone know if a seat from a '57 or '58 is the same? Just trying to open my options when searching for a seat.


Any thoughts appreciated.

Just from general appearances, nothing more, I would guess they all have the same basic floor pan. Also, it would not have been cost effective for Ford to change the floor pans with each minor body change.

 

1957/59 same = Ranchero, two door sedan, two door hardtop, convertible and two door station wagon.

All of the above have a split back rest that folds forward, to allow access to the Ranchero spare tire, or for the others...to allow people to get in/out of the back seat.

The hardtop and convertible were available with an optional power seat.
