It's not ok to mix coolants - on a 2001 it should be green or gold. Checking the pressure is dangerous if you've never done it before / most here will tell you to take it to a garage. They have a pressure pump the fits the radiator fill neck. If you crawled underneath with a flashlight and don't see anything and are still concerned / are still losing coolant I would take it in to be checked. The other thing you can do is post something on the 7.3 forum which is a bit more specific to the 7.3 engine.

Well I used ELC after a thorough flush a few years ago, but I have no idea what they used when they replaced the water pump. Therefore I don't know if I have mixed coolant types.
I'm moving 500 miles next week. Do I need to have it flushed before I leave?
