yes it doesn't display anything, it just secretly does it, the only way to tell is watching your instant fuel mileage screen, it will drop to below 10mpg when its cleaning. It happens usually between every 300 and 500 miles
Follow the Forscan thread on here it will tell you how to change the setting to view the DPF regen. It will give a percent of how full it is and if the percentage is dropping the regen is in process.
I am new to diesels and I turned it on in Forscan. I see mine rise from 0% to 100% then right back to 0%. I drive mostly city right now and have not towed. Have ~1500 miles.

My regens drop the percentage from 100% to around 30%. I am wondering if this is typical or should I see a number close to 0% as well. Please members, chime in with typical numbers.
I just had mine turned on in the IDS by dealer at the last service. On my last tow trip while towing, I got to watch it go from 75% full, up to 95%, then 99%, then 100, and started going down in 5% increments, all the way to 0%. I never had to slow down or stop at all while this occurred.
About 500km later on the way home, very near home, I hit 100% and again, in started going down in 5% increments all the way to 0%. But as I got closer to home, I had to slow down and stop at a few lights, and was going as slow as 50 Kmh, but it never stopped regen and got to 0 just before backing in the trailer.
All seemed to work just fine, now I know what it's supposed to do.

I check my % periodically, and when it is at 95%, I take a highway drive. Doesn't usually take long for it to hit 100% and go into regen.
When mine is in regen, I keep driving until it hits zero. Not sure if there's any truth to it, but read somewhere that regen only happens over something like 30 or 35 mph. Maybe due to the heat generated, and needing a minimum road speed for cooling purposes? With that said, I just take a short trip on the highway.
