Fuel mileage decrease...a big deal??
My truck so far runs great. I keep a running tally of my mileage. When it was new i got about 13.5-14, then about 5000 miles i was in the 14-16mpg, now at 11,000 miles i have at 13-13.5mpg. These are all MIXED driving conditions. Out of the 6 days a week i drive it, 2 are highway miles. It just seems kinda low, since i thought it should improve by now. I already did my fuel filters. Aside from mileage, i have noticed NO difference in engine, drivability.
IS this an indication of something or am i chasing ghosts?

From reading what other have said the mpg range between these trucks is as wide as the grand canyon. As for yours changing for the worse keep in mind it is still new, people say these motors don't brake in until aobut 30,000 miles. Also, something in the fuel, and air temp, changes the mpg in winter so expect a bit lower until summer comes around.
I thought the fuel filters should be changed every 15k miles so going to change mine in a few days, just hit 14.5k. Right now on the factory fuel filter I get about 16mpg under mixed conditions. It has started to drop a little but since I was getting closer to 17.5 but I accounted that to winter and dirty fuel filter.
