They are aftermarket. The OE requires a square hole to be punched thru and that is very difficult to do in a finished truck. I know one guy on here IIRC did it with a Dremel and used the OE, but no really needed as after market just uses a round hole and has the plug in connection to the Ford wiring harness...
Can you give us the manufacturer and part # of these lights that you had installed?

No, I can't find the paperwork anymore and there are 2 companies at least make the lights for the '17, I know Recon is one and forgot the name of the other. The Recon website has their details.
Since I was not looking for anything other than an OEM look with Amber lights I did not care much. I know Recon makes several flavors of lights if that is what your looking for.
The real challenge was in getting it done. One dealer quoted me $600 plus the cost of the lights about $200, another dealer wanted $430 incl lights but did not install on 2017 saying they would leak water if it rained (to which I replied they leak because they were not properly installed!).
Go for it. Just the other night I cam out of a place and it was now night time, I came a door and side of building I had not gone in. Raise arm, hit the unlock button and look for the cab lights. As it was, did not see them, so walking around huge building till I did...and that is why I have the lights.
Thanks for the reply. Wanting to do it myself. I've looked at the recons, didn't like the ones I've seen but I do like yours. Maybe I need to look at their whole selection.

Yea, I just wanted a OEM style/color and they were prob the cheapest ones...
I called 17 oaks install place in Farmer Branch place and he quoted me 600.00. I told him about another guy getting them for about 430.00..he said to match the 2017 look have to go with the “newer” set from recon to get the factory look. I can still get 17oaks lights for the 430.00.

200.00 more....I don’t know.
interesting as at no time was I ever quoted anything but $430 + tax. Did you ask what they were charging $600 for??? I would like to know. Maybe it was for a different cab light then just an OEM look with Amber lens.
I got the lead on Truck Toys in FB from another member on here who had his done for $430+
Wow, pricey when compared to the $95 it cost to order them if you order a truck.
Oddly enough, I see very few SD with clearance lights. Non of the 2017's I looked at in San Diego area had them, not one. Not the only factor but one of many reasons as to why I ordered a 2018.

I don't know of any dealers that order them on a SD 350 SRW??????
The roof lights were the ONLY thing I really wanted aside from led headlights. I wish I could find someone I trusted to do it around the Charlotte, NC area. Anybody have someone they could recommend?

Same amber led light color, but for the 2017..they have different led elements than what they installed on yours.
