Electrical Issue?

Has anyone experienced this before? I was driving uphill under light acceleration, and the instrument cluster lit up and died for all of about a second. In the middle of this, the truck backfired. The cluster went back to normal and the rest of the drive. I haven't done any diagnostics yet as I'm at work, I hooked up my OBD reader and no codes.

Sounds like a quick loss/restore of battery power. I'd start by checking the battery cables for looseness or corrosion.
