I have a 1966 F-250 camper special with a 352 and I can't get it to start, I have power to everything and when I try to turn it over I can hear a slight click like something is trying to engage, I've checked the solenoid and the starter with a stethoscope and don't hear anything except for on the water pump and the altinator, I have replaced the connections to my ignition and to the solenoid, any suggestions? Thanks in advance
Take something metal and atleast as large as the inside of a battery cable and bridge the two large posts on the fender mounted solenoid. This will bypass most everything and tell you if the starter is good. Make sure the transmission is in park or neutral if manual transmission.
Engine stuck ? can you turn the harmonic balancer by hand with the trans in neutral. Connections at starter clean and tight ? Check the starter by taking it out of the bell housing and jump it off a battery and see if it turns and the bendix operates correctly.

How many people have the strength to turn the harmonic balancer by hand?
Most people use a large wrench with a long pipe slipped onto it for added leverage.
That clicking is the solenoid telling you its not getting any power from the battery. The clicking also tells you its doing it's job. Maybe.
Dead battery or very dirty cables. Try cleaning the cables first. Than run a load test on the battery. Even if you charge the battery, doesn't mean it has the power to start the motor. A load tester is one of those things you should have hanging on your wall of tools.
