Truck currently has 22 inch rim with a 325/50 22 that currently makes contact with the driver side front spring. Wondering what size tire and rim combo to avoid hitting front spring. I prefer not to use spacers any suggestions?
What is the overall diameter of the tire and the rim width and back spacing? Different tire manufacturers/models will have slightly different OD's of the same "size" tire.
I have a Nitto Trail Grapplers 35x12.5/20 with an actual OD of 35.04" on 20x10 rims and 4.5" back spacing and have no rubbing issues at all with a 3" lift. If fact at full lock I have about 1" of clearance between the tire and the spring and fender wells. I'm sure it gets closer during articulation - but no rubbing.
you could probably avoid downsizing your tires if you are able to find some rims with less back spacing so the tire is pushed more out an your tires should fix the rubbing
