I brought my truck in to get a Rhino Liner. They removed the tailgate and sprayed what they had to spray. Then put the tailgate back. I know they had difficulty with the camera plug, the one with the brown wire, but that seems to work fine.
The Rhino Liner job seemed to be great, but now my "Rear Park Aid" is not working. I cannot turn it on in the options as it is disabled. If I restart the truck, it is selected, but once I put it in reverse, it gets disabled again.
I suspect that the Rhino Liner people will correct the issue, or let the dealer correct it and reimburse me, but I figure it is simple and maybe someone on the forum may have run across the same issue.
I would rather clean off a sensor, reset a computer, or reconnect a plug, than monkey around all day driving and waiting.
I also saw this plug hanging loose near the other tailgate wires. Maybe it is related? It is labeled HC3T-15K868-AE.
Any suggestions for me to fix the issue with a simple solution?
I fixed my own problem. I saw a video on YouTube that told me where the sensors were. I checked the wires and all looked well, but that plug was the key.
Once I found the other half, and plugged it in, all was well.
Resurrecting an old thread here (for my first post!), but have the exact same issue. I bought a 2018 F350 Lariat a couple months ago and the reverse sensors have never worked. I get the exact same screen errors as the pics above. My truck has what I suspect are bumpers from a 2020 (the wiring harnesses for the fog lights and rear sensors are dated 2020) but the electrical wiring appears to be the same. My harness is connected but I still get the errors.
I do not have the front or 360 cameras, just the rear backup camera (which works great) and reverse sensors (which don't).
