'08 F250 Backup camera?

Hey guys, I just bought an '08 F250 CC Lariat and according to the previous owner, it came factory with a backup camera but the tailgate was stolen and he replaced it with a non-camera equipped one. I can see the blue square in the mirror when in reverse, so I do believe it was equipped but my question to you is: Can I just replace the handle assy in my current tailgate and have a plug & play deal? All I can see for a plug is an orange (6 pin I think?) right next to the spare tire release guide on the passenger side. I'd like to get my factory option back. Any input would be great, thanks in advance!

I would think so as long as you have the wire from the camera down to the connector by the spare. No reason it shouldn't work.

You'll need the camera and the tailgate harness. Routing the harness inside the tailgate is a PITA, but it can be done

Then simply plug n play. I put a 2010 camera in my 06 and it went pretty easy. No programming. Just plug it all together in your case
