If you put 35 inch tall tires on your truck and you got a flat tire, could you get away with using the stock spare tire just to get you to a tire shop? Just curious since I think the stock tires are close to being 33's...
I've plugged the last 5 or so flats I've received and was able to do it without taking the wheel off the vehicle. It would be even easier on a SD with all the clearance you have to work with.
$5 plug kit and a $15 compressor and you'd be in business.

^^That's what I would do. I have not carried a spare tire since 2004 and I don't on my SD. I also haven't had a flat since the 90's lol.
If I was going on a long trip I may throw the spare in the back but with these tires mounted under the truck they get destroyed with rust where I live. I don't think I could even remove the spare off my wife's Mercedes now... it looks rusted solid.
The jack on my 2008 f350 SD with the 6" lift and 35" tires worked fine just had to make sure they jack was on stable ground. If it sinks at all then your cutting it close.
I really dislike the jack though due to its small size and the trucks overall weight.

Yes, but...
One important caveat — if you have a limited slip rear and get a flat on the rear, put the smaller spare on a front corner, and bring that full size tire to the back. If you have a locking rear, avoid using the locker with different size tires (though if you’re way off road and need a locker, anything goes). Also note, when the smaller spare is on the front, your braking will be affected, so be extra cautious if hauling a heavy load as hard braking will likely pull the truck to one side. Bottom line - go for it, just know the effect and repair ASAP.
