Can I remove the front seat center headrest? Would like the access to the cupholders. Cannot find the tabs like the other headrests have to remove it.
If possible, a picture would be great of where the release is.
Edit:
Found several other posts on other years with same issue. Did find one for the year 2015. Will try to remove it again. There should be two release buttons, both on the drivers side of the rods. Can't get my fat fingers in there so will try with some blunt tools tomorrow.
Its best to have 2 adults with strong hands sitting in the back seat to attempt removal. I tried by myself and its physically impossible to lift and unlock both buttons. Since both buttons need to be depressed, a single person has no way to lift the head rest and since it sits a lot lower on the seat back vs the left and right ones, its tough but doable.
Got it with help from a young man with strong hands. What a PITA!
Glad it is out now because it frees up the bottom two cup holders. Does seem easier with one person in the back seat, and one up front.
On a semi-related note, i've been trying to take apart the fold-down cupholder tray behind the seat because it won't stay up. There's a spring inside of it that has come unhooked and you simply have to reattach it. Anybody here have any luck getting that thing apart?
