To moonroof or not to moonroof that is the question. I live in Michigan so heat isn't the concern. I park in a heated garage every night so it won't sit out all winter. Anything to be concerned about? Is it not worth the hassle it may cause. Thanks

I say no and take the savings and apply it to something else more useful for your F150
Just something else that might break or have an issue with rattles or leaks which some but not all owners of the current generation F150 have experienced and there are plenty of complaints on various forums.
Also, less weight and I wonder have many people thought about the replacement cost of one of these twin panel moon roofs.

Just say no to holes in the roof. There are two kinds of moon roofs; those that have leaked, and those that will leak.
I have the 2015 Screw with the Panoramic Sun/moon roof, to make my wife happy, I have had my truck 2 years as of Sept 10th. with no problems what so ever. Granted i do not open the glass a often. I do open the shade fairly often except in the middle of a summer day. The wife and the grandkids love it. I would be just as happy if it wasn't there. Oh, and it goes to the car was at least once a week.
I being a roofer by trade have mastered how to put a skylight in and not have it leak. Now I feel kind of challenged to get one in my truck and make sure it doesn't leak. Hmmmm lol

LOL.
Different engineering comparing a fixed structure with a skylight to an object that`s moving and adapting to varying road conditions plus constant flexing.
With that being said, go for it but just remember that we told you so.
We still have a 1975 Dodge van that my wife bought new in 1975. The body and running gear have been very durable. However, she put in a moon roof a year or two after she got it, and we have to replace the gasket every 5 years or so. We learned this the hard way, and it's one of those things you have to keep track of. If you are going to keep the vehicle for less than 5 years, no problem.
