I have a 91 Ranger with the 2.3L 4 cylinder and the M5OD transmission. The transmission died from not having enough fluid. I still don't know where it all went.
In any case I replaced the transmission with one from a 2000 F150 and installed it in the Ranger but then noticed that the slave cylinder used on the newer transmission has a slightly different fitting than my original slave cylinder. The late model connector is gold but my original slave cylinder connector was black.
How can I fix this without dropping the transmission again and swapping out the slave cylinder? Does anyone sell just the fittings that I can attach to the clutch hose? Does someone make an adapter I can buy?
