I don't see this covered but I am sure it can 't be the first time its come up here. I drove my f150 2x4 XL home from work for lunch, no A/C issues. Half hour later went to drive back (approx. 5 miles) and no A/C, just hot air.
Drove home that night (after it sat for a few hours, cold air blowing. Ever since then (Last Saturday) it only blows hot thoug. No blown fuses, or loose wires.
When I change from A/C to vent or off, or back to A/C I don't hear the compressor kickign in. Is it dead?
I've been a member for a while but not been on for long time. This site has actually changed since I was using it last.
Trying to find the HVAC FAQ but not having any luck. Just picked up 2001 F150 4x4 Lariat, AC has no charge and want to replace the compressor front seal.
Not sure exactly which Sanden compressor is on it, but it is the original compressor.
Hoping I can find some info on here.
