I just used a couple of battery powered led lights velcroed to the inside bed. Just turn them on when I need them
and they're portable if I need lighting somewhere else. So far working well.
something like these :
Are you sure? Every dealer I have spoke with can't confirm this, so I've been hesitant to gamble on this. I know the lights and switch seem to be the same units, just not sure of the harnesses.
I have been told the wiring is different between the F150 and 250s. I bulit my own system using OEM lights, connectors (WPT1116) and ran up to the #1 upfitter switch.

No I'm not sure that this particular light setup is for a 2017 Super Duty. But I did have my local dealer install a set in a 2016 F-150. The lights that I posted in the previous post is what I ordered. It took about 40 minutes to install. Most of the time was removing and re-installing the spare tire.
The only way to know for sure is to ask the parts department at your local Ford dealer. If these are not the correct lights for a Super Duty then I apologize for wrongfully assuming they would work.

Could I get the part numbers for the lights that you used please? I would like to do the same thing. Were you able to run the switch in the bed too?
OEM Rear Fender Cargo Lamp FL3Z-13A756-A. The connector that fits the light is Ford pn WPT1116.
I did not wire up the switch...got impatient. I am sure its possible if you use a relay but unsure how that would affect upfitter switch stuff so I passed.

Awesome, thanks. Did you have to do anything special to wire this in? I assume that you had to simply snap the connectors together, and then run a length of wire up to the front under the hood to wire in your hot to the upfitter, and ground the negative? I may be missing something, as my knowledge of wiring anything on these trucks is precisely zero. If you had to use another length of wiring to run to the front, could you please link it or point me in the direction of where to purchase the correct wire. Thanks in advance.
I just made a red/black two-wire harness with a Y for the two lights tied together with butt connectors and heat shrinked. Run the length of the truck up the drivers side following the Ford wiring loom and up to blunt ends provided at the upfitter relay center...I then grounded to the fender right by the box. real easy. matched the gauge of wire for the connectors. all protected in OEM quality loom protector covering and water proof heat shrink connectors.
Would something like this work? I assume its just a duplex (red and black) that's needed, not the triplex. This may be way overpriced or overkill, but trying to just make sure I do it once and correctly.
