I just had the Transferflow 60 gal installed in my 2017, CCSB. Chad told me the DTE wouldn't work as I was picking up my truck so I didn't have time to sort it out prior to spending $1600, thinking the dealer could do it. After back-and-forth with the dealer, they admitted they can't change the DTE (including a smart *** "if you wanted the DTE to work, you shouldn't have changed the tank!). So, now I'm trying to understand the FORScan process and can't find the specifics for the 60 gal tank (forget that I've never even seen FORSCan app and don't use a windows machine). Having had a Transferflow tank on my previous truck, this was a must have upgrade and well worth going to Chico to have it installed.
Now, I'm stuck on the DTE solution and the search process goes in a circle for previous year SDs or generalized FORScan info. If someone has done this same upgrade on a 2017 and knows what the FORSCan process is for the 60 gal tank, can you post that here or point me to where it is, please?
theres lots of threads on this bud. Go look at the forscan thread for complete instructions. There most certainly is a 60 gallon setting you can program with forscan, check the spreadsheet in that thread under the fuel tank line item.

I'm in redding, did the same upgrade and did the forscan changes, would be happy to help out but it would have to be on the weekend.

you say you don't use a windows machine - do you use a mac? can you set up a VM or bootcamp?
What year is your truck? 4x4? SRW or DRW. I went to their website and they don't show a replacement tank for my truck.
Sorry I did not see this earlier. 2017 4x4 SC LB SRW. The tank is a replacement and the last time I looked they had not updated the website to include the supercab LB. Call their customer service line and talk to sales and if they are not helpful talk to engineering. You may even have to tell them you know someone who had the mod completed there in the factory with no special parts or changes from the standard installation for the CCSB. They were all involved with the fitment of the tank and I can not speak enough of their helpfulness and interest in completing the installation. The fuel filter needs to be moved but that has all been taken care of with the design. This is by far the best modification I made to the vehicle. Good luck!

I decided to do it simple, I just double the DTE miles and expect it to be pretty accurate. I am still on my first tank, transferred 6 gal from the old tank in early Oct and first fill was 53 gal. Now, just running in town and no long road trips my distance since reset is 550.4 mi, DTE shows 74, MPG average is 13.7 and fuel gage is a hair less than 1/4 tank. SO, my estimate is that I double the DTE to get a real DTE of 148 which would let me have the 550.4 + 148 = 698 miles on the tank filled from the first time to fully empty. At 13.7 MPG for 643 miles I will be about 54 miles to real empty. So, I will CLOSELY check the DTE gage then to have a REAL DTE at the end of the tank.
IF SF stands for Special Forces I am an old 05G (Team Commander) and why keep it simple if I can make the calculations more difficult! Good Luck.

I replaced the [* **] with [8 E0] which is the hexadecimal reading for 227.2 litres. That is a zero, not an oh.
This was the ticket! The spreadsheet doesn't include the hex for the 60 gal but otherwise the process was the same. 60 gals = 227.125 liters. Rasalas used 2272 to get 8 E0. I used 2271 to get 8 DF. His is probably more accurate; mine is for people who can't do math.
I bought a PC off Craigs and the adapter from Amazon and was done for less than $100. Many thanks to Johnso and Rasalas who provided the actual answers and assistance.
Decided to monkey with this some more. The truck shows 19.1 and 19.3 MPG on my last fill ups which were actually 17.1 and 17.4. So I'm going to change the tank size to 58.6 to see if I can get them to match up. I'm sure somebody who knows what algebra is could figure it out properly but it aint me. My guess is the tank volume/sender location is not exactly 60 gals so I'm going down in small increments to be on the safe side. Thoughts and opinions (not about my lack if education) that may make this easier?

I’m wondering the same thing! I am getting the TF tank installed next week and was guessing there are about 58 usable gallons so I would just set it to 58 and be done. Was thinking maybe 57.5 to be on the safe side. Did you get yours dialed in?
In reality I will probably never run this big tank to empty anyways, but I’d like the DTE to be as accurate as possible.
I'm still fooling with it but the closest I've come for three tanks was within 1.5 MPG of actual and 30 miles of DTE (that's the truck being 30 miles under the actual DTE so I wouldn't run out of of fuel). I'm using 53.5 gals on the setting (7E9 hex). I'm still not satisfied. The MPG stated by the truck fluctuates too much to be accurate and whatever math the truck uses to get DTE is beyond me. Anyway, this setting has worked for the both towing and city/highway with the same level of accuracy. I know I won't run out of fuel or damage the truck.

wondering if your truck was built before April 2017? And if so did you have the updated tank and sending unit put in before you had the big tank put in?

Success! I adjusted my tank size to 58 gals two fill-ups ago. Then I found a post on how to change the truck's MPG which also changes the DTE. The post is here at post #143: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ed-mpg-10.html
start with engine off , ignition off.
press ok button on steering wheel and hold.
turn ignition on. No start.
when engineering mode appears, toggle using the arrows to the screen that has the AFE bias. (it's a ways into the screens so keep clicking) It will have the 1000/ and a mpg.
toggle left or right to adjust the bias.
Press hold to save.
Bias is actual MPG divided by truck's estimated MPG multiplied by 1000. In my case, fuel tank is set at 58 (FORSCAN mod). Bias is 13.5 (actual) divided by 15.2 (Truck estimate)= .888157 multiplied by 1000= 888.
My difference for actual and estimated DTE is +9.8 miles. I'm still going to monitor this because I have nothing else to do now that Ashley Judd finally stopped calling, so the numbers may change a bit but I'm thinking this is very close.

Thanks for this great information. I have a '17 with the 60 gal Transfer Flow tank also.
I am wondering if you have made any further modifications to the bias?
Also are you running stock tires or did you use Forscan to modify tire size as a part of your fuel tank/DTE work?
