aftermarket steps

I am looking for opinions on aftermarket steps for my truck. It is a silver 2013 FX4 with the body color bumpers.

I am not very fond of how the stock running boards look to begin with, but mine are also completely torn up. For whatever reason the squirrels in my neighborhood like to sharpen their teeth on the plastic treads.

I am planning to take the stock ones off this weekend and see how I like the naked look. I'm tall enough to not need any steps getting in or out, and have no plans to lift the truck. But I am worried about the occasional passenger having issues (especially my 3 year old daughter).

The steps I am leaning towards are the N-Durastep from N-Fab. I like the look of them and they have a 5 year warranty on the finish.
Manufacturers of high quality Nerf Steps, Prerunners, Harley Bars, Light Bars, Replacement Front Bumpers, Rock Rails, Rear Runners, Tire Carriers & Truck Accessories

I am also looking at the Magnum RTs. They are cheaper but only come with a 1 year warranty on the finish.

Is there something else you'd recommend? My only real requirement is that they'd have to be black (no chrome!) and made of metal.

I was looking at some aftermarket steps for my previous 150 and was leaning towards the N-Fab steps. They appealed to me and could not be beat warranty wise. If I was in the market to get some today, they would be in my top 3.

I had the N-Fab "nerf steps" on my 2006 F250 which are very similar to the "durastep" your looking at, only more rounded & I'll be honest, I wouldn't buy em again. They look great & getting in the truck was not an issue, but getting out was a challenge (lol) the steps themselves are so small. You can't just step out & pivot, like u do with the OE ones. I learned to be ok with em, but my wife & kids were always complaining.

With that being said, between the 2 options u provided, I like the MAGNUM better. Those would've looked great on my SuperDuty & I love the way the ends are tapered. Again, that's my opinion & we all have one.

I honestly would love to buy a pair of the AMP RESEARCH Power-Step's for my F150. I like the naked look, considering my F150 is only a 2WD, but the family still wants running-boards. Only problem with the AMP's are the price...

my second truck with n-fab steps, cant beat the quality of them and I personally love the look. I have a family of 5 no problems in and out, steps are required as I like all my rigs lifted, also I suggest checking out iron cross, they make some pretty cool set ups

I got the Magnums for my 2009 STX and love them. They are solid, look good, and have a different look to them. The step is very comfortable getting in or out.

x2 on the Raptor running boards. One of the best upgrades imo as long as you don't pay too much. I got mine for under $300.
