Vapor Canisters

My 7.5L 460 '89 has two vapor canisters. I broke the "f" shaped port coming off of one of them. I recently took a trip to the junk yard but no luck. Everything there had the wrong engine with the wrong canister. I noticed that all of the engines i checked only had one and that they were a different type. I can't find them anywhere because they've been discontinued across the board. I'd like to put something new in if i can because I've put a lot of time into making everything look sharp.

My question is do I need two and can I use a different style. There's only one line coming from my tanks, it's joined together back on the frame rail. Is there any sort of pressure difference between having an extra canister, they seem to be connected in series. it would seem that all the other trucks I saw that had the "4" port cp2000 version could work for mine too.

The purpose of two canisters is to accommodate vehicle fuel tank(s) capacity, i.e. the canister(s) must have enough storage capacity for the fuel tank(s) in any application. Otherwise, the carbon in the canister(s) may become overwhelmed making the canister ineffective (failure).

Maybe Number Dummy can search and find the part numbers for your application and see if they are available NOS.

That looks awfully close to a pcv valve fitting. It's hard to discern scale in the pics, but if the nipple you have sticking out is around 3/8" diameter you might try something like the plastic fitting that comes with Fram FV353:

Or Motorcraft EV98B:

I doubt the fittings are serviced separately.

The rubber caps have a geoup part number of 9E602, I'm sure the canister nipple/elbows have a corresponding number as well.
