Duraspark conversion

Duraspark conversion

I just bought an 82 Bronco with a 351w in it. It says it uses EEC-III. From what I've gathered, that's a duraspark 3 system that uses a duraspark 2 ignition coil. I'm looking to switch completely to Duraspark 2. What all do I need? I know I need a duraspark 2 ignition module with the blue grommet and a duraspark 2 distributor. After that I am lost. Any insight would be great.

Just curious. Why the conversion?

I've heard that system is unreliable. I'd like to be able to adjust my timing.

That odd, I thought the DSII was used through 83. Either way, you'll need the ignition wiring harness from a DSII rig. It will unplug and plug right in to your harness.

DS-II | 1976-1984

EDIT-

EEC-III definition removed as he already knew what it is.

I know what it is, i didn't think they were using it yet in 82.
