Maybe a fake brake light for tailgaters? Perhaps a "trailer brake only" button? Another option if it's a toggle button rather than a momentary push button then it could be used as a parking brake activation for the high-idle mod?

i was going to suggest a valet button till you stated it was connected to the brake controller.. might have to get a trailer w/ electric brakes hooked up and push it sometime.. i know some controllers wont even light unless they sense the trailers connected.

This is what it is. Also need to probably fix some seven pin wiring because the last trailer I hooked on had brakes but the lights didn't work. Might have been the trailer too. Who knows.

yeah have the same one in my truck.. itll only work if theres a trailer connected to it.. there is a small dot that will light up when the brakes depressed... but as for the little red button.. the others are probably right about the tricking tail gaters part..
