How do I know what 6.7 engine

That will look like a newbie question (it is from a guy coming from GM).

My 2017 F-450 that I just bought, how do I know what engine I have, every time I go on a website with Ford component the last question is what engine and the choice are

code [T] Turbo Diesel
code 6651cc turbo Diesel

Can one of you explain me..

Be patient, it's not easy to switch brand... well actually more than you think having spend time to choose between a Sierra 3500 and a F-350 or 450 it was a no brainer at the end... buy a Sierra and you end up with a truck looking the same as a 2015 one, the interior cluster, function are the same as my old 2015... and the price... well close to the same as a F-450...

So give me some time.

Go there

https://www.dieselfiltersonline.com

choose 2017 F-450 and you will see it give 2 choices for the 6.7 engine.

I only see one 6.7 on that site. They should be all the same.

The cab/chassis engines are different but use same basic maintenance parts.

Go to the tech folder and read the "coffee table book". You'll be glad you did.

Based on what I've read on the Internet (so it must be true!), the cab/chassis truck has the same 6.7L engine but it is tuned differently (lower).

The 6.7 doesn't have separate engine codes for small differences like the Duramax. There is no LB7 / LLY / LBZ etc. I came from a DMAX in 2015 and this was strange to me too. In the PSD world it's just by model year so any changes to the engine only occur between years not in the middle.

Unless Ford changed for the 17, it is the same core. Different turbo, different injectors and hpfp, different up and down pipes.

I realize they uped the power for 17 but thought it was just a refresh, not them switching to the same 6.7 in the pickups.
