1983 F100 with 302. I had added two 12 inch fans to my condenser to assist it since I live in AZ. At times the directional will not work with the AC on. Just wondering if another flasher with less resistance is available or any ideas to correct it.

TWO different flashers: Light duty unit for turn signals, H/D unit for 4 way flashers. H/D flasher has a louder CLICK.
Both flashers look identical, are round with two prongs.
The 4 way H/D flasher can be substituted for the T/S flasher and was for trailer tow, Camper Specials, dealers installed it for people that were deaf.
But you should not use the T/S flasher for the 4 way flasher, because it's a "weak sister."
The original flashers work on heat. The heat is generated by the current going through the flasher to the bulbs. Anything that lessens the current, lessens the heat generated, and the heat is what makes it click on and off. Your lower voltage from the fans pulling the system down is lowering the current, and the flasher is not heating up to flash.
If you press on the gas pedal a little bit, see if it starts flashing. The electronic flashers and the heavy duty will probably fix it. The only good thing about the original light duty flasher, if a bulb burns out it will tell you by not flashing.
