Hey guys! Had our first rain here in months and found out why the guy I bought my truck from ripped out the carpets....there were two little puddles on the drivers side floor. I had left the exterior scoop vent up but not sure if that was were it came from (didn't seem like it)
Are there any common places where the leak would be coming from? Windshield? Ebrake? Hole in the firewall etc....I love my new baby and really want to preserve it!
thank you as always.😊
The cowl vent, the one in middle, needs to be closed in rain for sure. That is just a screened open hole into the cab. Best to make it habit to always close it when not using the truck.
The windshield gasket, of its leaking, will usually show a trail of water running down the face of the dash. That would be my number 1 guess. If it's hard or shows cracks, or should be replaced and the pinch weld inspected for rust. This is a pretty common area for rust to start.
