408 build/tcase
I'm going all in on this 408 build and wanted to know what other people have done so if u have one or know of one could u drop some spec lists things u ran into as it went along and such...
also my machinst said the standard bw1356 can't really hold the power of a 408 so does anyone know about that and if it's true or false and if so what they did about it

They put the same tcase in the HD trucks with the 7.5 big block and diesel engines. Now.. I kinda suspect that version of the case may have some beefier components inside, certainly some parts are different as there are versions with a PTO, but overall this is a robust t-case.

I agree that it's a pretty stout tcase although I don't know whether the 1 ton version was built any better either. That said, an np205 is about as strong as they get. Of course you'll need driveshaft mods to make it work and I don't know if your build is computer controlled and what issues that may cause. I say run it until/if it breaks before upgrading anything. What kind of rig are you building?
