Use Tow-Haul mode, exhaust brake and generally have CC on. Worked great in Canada and Alaska on steep descents. I generally tap break on steep climbs as I don't like to try and maintain my normal speed and climb at 3500 to 4000 rpm. I am not in much of a hurry.

I do use the engine braking, I just didn't state that in my post......figured that was a given. Anytime the trailer is hooked on, engine brake is engaged and CC is used for as much as I can. It's definitely a sweet setup.
