Was time to replace the lousy oem capped lug nuts. I do my own tire rotations with an impact gun and many of the lug nut caps were cracking and distorting. I'm sorry, but you should be able to use an impact on truck lugs without issue - really unacceptable that this is what we were given.
Went with a set of Gorilla 61108CXL. Ordered from Ebay for under $100. They are solid steel (no cap) and tipple chrome plated. The look is very close to factory, they are maybe a 1/4" longer though it's not noticeable. Highly recommend them.
But, do you use the impact to install, at full torque?
My air impact has 3 settings, at setting 2 I am at ~130-140 ft-lb. I drive them on per the pattern in the manual with the impact then use a torque wrench to finish @ 150.

Ok, just scares me for install with impact, overtorqued. Nothing worse than being on the side of the highway and not being able to break lugs free with factory lug wrench.
And then having studs all buggered up from being too tight.
Yes sir, same ones. Glad you're happy with them too

Hey, I'd do what you're comfortable with. If I didn't have an adjustable torque impact I'd probably be a bit more hesitant. Since I've tested it a bunch of times now I'm confident in the method.
Those Gorilla lug nuts are very good quality and look really nice. Well worth the money. Did you happen to get the adjustable length lug wrench with your lug nuts as well? It doesn't look like it would, but it actually does work really well.

I didn't, kit was only for lug nuts. I use an impact gun to remove/install the final torque with torque wrench. I have a breaker bar and 13/16 deep well socket that I keep in my truck box if needed roadside.
