does anyone know where i can get solid steel replacement lug nuts not the ford type 2 piece mine are breaking apart i have the ford aluminum wheels all i have been able to find so far are the same as the factory
thanks
I had the same exact problem, cept those stupid aluminum caps broke while i was trying to changee a flat off road. My autozone had the regular solid aluminum ones, not the factory replacment, but if you want a good quality lug nut,do a search for gorilla lug nuts on the internet.
I'd only take one at a time off different wheels..took about a month to get them all...he couldn't figure out why one or two would always be missing...till about 2months later he saw my BII with a new set of lugs on it.
haha nice trick.. i didnt know they had aluminum sleeves, i thought it was painted plastic lol.. you need to replace those things, i would go to autozone and get solid steel ones, the aluminum ones are crap, if you're ever broke down with a flat tire, it dosnt matter if you have a lug nut remover (minds blank) or not, most likely you'll just smooth over the nuts, i found best thing to do was buy the new lug nuts, and i took my b2 to a tire shop and paid a guy $5 to change them all out, that way i didnt get all upset when a few smoothed over, and all sweaty, i figured it was a well spent $5
