93' XLT Bronco has a studdering problem while driving down the road. Talked to shop about possible problems. They suggested fuel pump is going bad. Have new fuel pump in hand, with conversion kit for electrical connections.
Tank is empty as possible. What do I do next? Disconnect battery, jack the truck up, remove skid plate, lower tank?
Welcome to FTE!
You shouldn't have to jack the truck up, as it should be high enough to clear the tank. Be sure to have somebody help you, as the fuel in the tank can slosh, and make it suddenly heavier on one end. Lower it partially, and disconnect the lines, then lower it the rest of the way.
