Looking for rear lighting

So i'd like to have some additional lighting behind the truck (esp when camping offroad or backing up to pick up a trailer at night).

Has anyone mounted lights on the rear bumper for this? (or maybe found a way to increase the output of the backup lights?)

Truck is an F150 STX but i dont have a rack on the truck to mount lights to.

The factory backup lights are horrible. I added a set of these:
Amazon Amazon
MUCH better!

$15 bucks plus a couple bucks for marine grade taps to tap into the 7-pin harness so they'll come on when in reverse. Very happy with the results. They are attached with 2 bolts that are already in place the hold the bumper braces on. They did need some extra primary wire for length to reach the 7-pin harness.

I don't have a night pic but here they are installed:

Hope this helps!

I did rigid flush mounts, love them! Plus I have a white knight backup light system in the hitch too.

I put these in place of the factory bulbs and they work great. No need to modify or mount anything. I have to back down a long skinny alley sometimes in the dark and these made it a lot easier. But I doubt they are as bright as the Rigid Duallys or even the ones Robbgt put on.

Thanks for mentioning these - I was thinking of doing them in addition to the ones below the bumper. Did you get the Mark I or II bulbs?

I bought these. Super bright and worked well. I did have some water leak in one of them. Just contact them, they have a good return policy.

I've often wondered if someone makes a really bright reverse light I can simply slide into my towing receiver and plug in when I need it. I don't need bright reverse lights all the time but it would be nice to have once in a while. I suppose I could quit being so lazy and come up with a light bar mounting/pin out to do it.

Thanks for the LED bulb replacement link TD, guess I'll try those.

Pictures don't really do it justice. Look at the garage window in both of the last two pictures. My phone dimmed the picture with the lights on. When the lights are on like that, it lights up the horse pasture out back. It's like turning on the sun.

So, I went ahead and ordered these last week when you brought them up. They arrived Saturday, I put them in Sunday morning and that night went out at about midnight to check them out. BIG improvement! Simple to do, just like the video at the linked website.

Robbgt- I got the Mark II, 5 stars from me.

Easy as pie...that's what I liked about them and they have enough extra light. They won't out shine a pair of Rigid lights, but they provide enough for backing up.

Not sure which model I have...

I sold my F150 and pulled the reverse bulbs out before trading it in. They don't fit my new F250 so I am willing to sell them for $25 obo...send me a PM if you're interested.
