Workin' hard or hardly workin'?

Here's a pic of my 86 f250 sclb hardly workin'. I had to haul my LazyBoy recliner across OKC to the furniture repair store. It might weigh 100lbs.

Shows us pics of your truck workin' hard or hardly workin'. Remember, if you don't show us pics it never happened!

Ah, my favorite type of topic.
I'm not sure if I'm working my trucks hard enough - got any tips? :P

Hauling my (currently) latest acquisition home - 92 F-250 7.3 4x4 5-speed with Banks turbo.
It was *only* about 150 miles from home.

Small load of 12' pallets/skids for salvaging materials from. I do this a lot, but rarely quite so much at a time.

Truck *and* trailer load of stuff and materials, took it 55 miles.

Couple scrap refrigerators, and a couple of 200gal slip tanks.
Thought they were empty, then found 40 gallons of fuel in one of them... so I guess it was a bit heavier than I thought...

Just hauling the landlords tractor 30 miles away. No big load here.

My camper and cargo carrier(though the stuff on the carrier changed before my trip). Hauled it a good 1,000 miles round trip.

First trailer load with my '92(from the first pic); hauled it 30-40 miles, including up a nice, steep grade. Truck did fine, though I have to fix the left turn signal output on the truck.

One of the first full truck loads with my '92. I'm DDing it right now.

Definitely workin' hard!

At first I didn't see the pics on my desktop and I thought you were pulling my leg, but the pics showed up fine on my phone.

Very cool gents! Even the boats and vehicle trailers are probably no sweat for an IDI, especially if you have a turbo.

BTW, I love crew cabs, especially with a flat bed. IMHO, a flat bed looks weird on a super or regular cab. When I bought my 86 f250 I searched hi and lo for a Bullnose crew cab and only found one. It was a parts truck / project near Little Rock, AK. It was a gas instead of a diesel and didn't even run.

Even had the camper + Samurai/trailer on my '90 once, and it was every bit as slow with the loads as without

I too really wanted a Bullnose crew, but the couple I found were completely trashed and beat trucks. I had enough projects going on, and didn't want another. Plus I really wanted an over drive trans...and then the '90 came along at a price I couldn't say no to....

Not sure what these classify as but......

Haul'in the wife's Sienna to the repair shop. Always makes me chuckle cause she gives me crap about how my van is old and gonna break down.....but whose van in on the trailer and whose van came to the rescue. Of course I have been married long enough to know not to point that out.

Heading to the track for the weekend. No more sleeping on the ground in a tent. Got a halfway normal bed in the back of the van.

Needed some topsoil. Yeah, I know....the pallet in the back of the van isn't a good idea.

Something small. IKEA kitchen cabinets.

Small trailer full of our luggage for our Disney trip. 10 people in the van.

Only work my '92 F-250 gets. Annual camper pull

F-250 just to the right, out of the picture. About 6000 pounds. pulled it at 63 mph up steep hills.

Figured I'd resurrect this thread because my Bullnose was hardly workin' again. I had to haul my daughter's kitchen playset to daycare for donation about 12 miles across town. Good thing I installed that B&M shift kit. I think my coolant temp maxed out at about 198* and the pyrometer never got above 700*.

Show us some more pics of your truck workin' or hardly workin' gents. BTW, maybe the mods could move this thread into the Bullnose forum so we can see what kind of work the gas trucks and little brother 1/2 tons do.

Mine used to work hard. These days it just sits around and thinks of reasons not to start. Come to think of it, my situation is somewhat similar.

Olde pics:
