Buggy Shock Sensor?
My alarm keeps getting triggered by noises around the vehicle. I can open hand slap most of the truck and not set the alarm off. But when I throw an apple in an empty rubber garbage bin 1.5m away from the truck the alarm goes off. Same for vibrations from large motors.
It's like the sensor is more sensitive to vibrations then impacts. I would have guess that the sealed body of the truck would dampen any air vibrations and tires dampen the ground. My old truck never had problems like this (had a aftermarket alarm).
Anyone else having issues with their shock sensor being sensitive on one end but dead on the other?
It's mounter in the cab where the parking brake is located. Right to the actual parking brake housing where feet are.
I think I'll ask dealer to replace it as there is not much you can do other then turn it down to the point it becomes unshockable.
I've only set my alarm off by locking the door with a trailer attached, then backing something off the trailer later. The rocking motion of the truck triggered the alarm.
