Rough idle and shudders while accelerating
On Wednesday night, the truck wouldn't downshift when I was accelerating. It would get to 3000 rpm and the engine would scream, but no downshift. Naturally, it stopped doing it when I went to take it into the shop on Thursday morning and the mechanic couldn't find anything wrong. Then on my way home from the shop in the afternoon, it started to run rough while idling and to shudder while accelerating. When it did this last spring, it died in the middle of the road. Sadly, I'm now on a first name basis with the AAA tow truck driver.
Here's the rundown of recent(ish) maintenance and repairs that I can recall off the top of my head.
- Oil and fuel filter change 500 miles ago. Added Archoil 9100 with the oil change. Been using the Archoil fuel additive with most fill-ups.
- High-pressure oil pump and 4 injectors were replaced last spring
- Leece Neville alternator installed about a year ago to replace the DC Power alternator (which only lasted 2 years!!) Went through 3 Ford alternators before that.

- FICM replaced with a rebuilt one from FICM Repair about 4 years ago.
There were a few other repairs in between, but I already dropped the truck off, and the maintenance records are in the glove compartment, so I can't look them up.
Here are the readings from the ScanGuage (yes, there are a few dupes):

Any suggestions on what I should ask him to check when he gets there in the morning?
Thanks!
Not sure on the whole not shifting part, as I own a manual transmission.
