This may sound a little simplistic, but it works. I take two bottles of Testor's model airplane paint, one silver, the other gray. I dab a drop or two out of each and start mixing them until the color is close.
Next, I dab the paint on a hidden section of the part that I'm trying to match to compare, and adjust it lighter or darker as needed.
