Interior paint for plastic trim

I need to re-paint some of interior plastic panels. I have used custom mixed paint from an auto paint store but I need something more durable. I remember seeing a product that comes in a spray can in my color that is supposed to chemically(?) bond to the plastic but I can't locate it....any clues or help appreciated.

I just took all the interior out of my bronco a few weeks ago. I agree that SEM is the way to go, but do your homework on the prep work otherwise it won't stick, regardless of how good the paint is.

I cleaned it with a degreaser, prepped it and sparyed adhesion promoter before I actually sprayed any paint.

SEM doesn't match factory paint exactly, so I ended up repainting everything plastic that showed to the new color

You can't blame the paint. You can't expect to match 25+ year old interior parts that have been exposed to the sun, etc all these years. Same with exterior paint. It's either trial and error to match it or repaint everything. At least with the outside if you're close you can blend.

One can get SEM paint color-matched & custom-mixed to the current interior color. At a paint store local to me, it's ~$75/quart and not inexpensive but it's an option. Paint stores with the books can also mix paint to the color code on the door jamb sticker.

Yes, prep is key, and adhesion promoter is usually recommended.
