Yes that should just pull straight off you should maybe disconnect the battery and if you have too use a small screwdriver to pry it off you can get a new one at most auto parts stores
Autozone sells a new dimmer switch and a new plug with short wire pigtails. You could make note of the wire colors and their positions, and then snip the wires and replace the whole thing. See if they have some of those butt connectors with the shrink tube made on the ends.
