Has anyone added a console /arm rest to their trucks that came with the floor console? I love the truck but really miss that arm rest. I have a 2017 crew cab XL FX4 so the full console was not an option and going up to xlt was $7000 more. Looking for suggestions. Can the console be ordered through ford and added? Is there anything aftermarket that works or has anyone built one.
I've been looking to do the same thing. While the fold down center seat is the perfect height for an arm rest, it's horrible to use as a console. I've checked out the fleet and commercial consoles (it's what I do for a living) but none of them have got the comfort factor, they are all functional for work.
You can buy the stock one from the dealer for $850.
Is that complete? I looked up console on ford parts page and it looked like it would be more than that buying all the parts separately and I didn't see a "complete option".
There's a Ford parts guy on the FB pages that quoted that shipped. It's complete, but I don't think the rear vents in the console will work. Everything else should.

Is that facebook and do you know what pages? I just got off the phone with dealership by me and they said unit not available on their accessories page (I could have told him that) said I should try a salvage yard. How many 2017s are in salvage yards? I think it was too close to 5 on Friday for him.
It's the Facebook page for 2017 super duties. There's a young guy on there that's a parts dept guy from a Midwest dealer. Can't remember his name. He linked all the Ford-parts.com part images, it's a lot of parts, but it's all on there.

Unfortunately, after Harvey, I assume there is going to be quite a few. How damaged they are will be the question.
I am following thread as the console is one of the main things I wanted in my XLT but didn't end up getting.
I would source a used one. My guys like myself don't like the center seat/console and remove it in favour of an aftermarket console. I have 3 center seat consoles from previous year fords cluttering up my shop!
Hi, I have a Lariat with six passenger seating and am somewhat envious of the features I could have got if I forgave six passengers. However, I have just rented a 2017 Expedition. Things keep falling off the centre console and between the seats. What a pain! I am starting to count my blessings.

Hoping someone can help me out. Our company just picked up a new 2017 XL with the mini console. I'm trying to find an OEM or aftermarket console or armrest. Any thoughts or suggestions?
I had the XL floor console as well, I could not find the full console to buy so I bought a seat console on ebay for 250, then had katzkin leather installed in the truck after, I am happy with it.
just added one to my f350 found a used one for $175 on ebay was out of a 2005 f150 with column shift only had to fab 2 brackets for rear mount worked perfect.
