Glows works properly now after replacing the whole system. But now I'm lost, again lol the truck will start right up on the first try (Sometimes) and sometimes it will take forever and you can hear it really want to start with a little starter fluid but it still didn't fire we had to keep cranking after awhile she finally started this happens randomly unless the truck is already warmed up, I didn't know if it could be fuel problem or what but yes she will fire up on the first try once in a while lol its a bipolar truck
When I check the valve on the fuel filter I got fuel coming out ,a good pressure so I'm guessing the return lines? even though they don't appearto be damaged,
A month ago I changed return lines on a different 7.3 and they were leaking really bad but that truck still held prime and always fired up even with it pissing fuel everywhere
Yes it's hard to believe that truck fired no problem with all the fuel lines leaking lol
The check valve in the lift pump is wearing out. Replace the lift pump... which will also get you better priming as well.
You don't need to have the return side free of leaks as long as you can keep the fuel on the supply side from draining back - my solution has been to simply install a primer bulb just before the fuel filter. Primer bulbs have two check valves inside them(as well as being a primer) and that will solve all sorts of priming-related problems.
