Another No Spark 460
I am working on an older (not sure of the year) 460 F-350 it is an FI engine for a friend of mine. I just quit running one day (go figure) anyway I checked the coil for spark tested good. There is no spark coming out of the dist. I changed the cap, rotor, wires and plugs. still no spark out of the dist. I check the timing it is spot on. I reversed the coil wire and one cyl. wire and got a response that way. Any ideas other than buy a GM (ha ha) product?

Thanks, I checked that. I have also seen that on other 460's. I think some one in the past changed the engine with something close but not quite the same. The only rotor that was close was out of a year newer and lord only knows what the engine came out of. Since the first post I have washed my hands of this POS truck. And it is really a POS. Thanks everyone for the input.
