I just brought home a '64 Ford F100 home without driver side mirror option installed.
Question, is the truck more valuable without as originally ordered?
thanks

even trucks without mirrors should still have the hole in the door (for the mirror arm) and a rubber plug in the hole. So if you wanted to add the factory round style mirrors, you could just pop the plug out and bolt them on...wouldn't hurt the value because they could always be removed and the plug put back in. Now if asking about adding larger western style mirrors that need holes for screws, then ultimately I think that's subjective and everyone will have their own opinion. My opinion is that unless it's an extremely well documented low mileage all original truck, then, no, you won't hurt the value by adding mirrors that install by drilling holes.
I have a 63 that was ordered without mirrors and only had one sun visor
installing a factory style mirror will not affect any value but will make your neck happier
Ford never used a plug for a radio antenna. The radio was an option, so there would be no hole in the right cowl panel without one.
All 1961/66 trucks have slots in the doors for the optional outside mirrors. If no mirrors were installed, rectangular rubber plugs filled the holes.
Cool. Thanks for the heads up. i'll have to go out and study up on her. I've been using most of my time making room in the garage for her. I haven't had too much hands on time.
