Spinsecure sent me a video on how to get the cap off. They also sent me a new cap. I must say Matt with spin secure has been on point and calls back same day.
The fix is a self tapper screw drilled into cap at angle to avoid damaging fill neck.
Here are the pics on my cap. Cap is still usable leave screw in place until you get a new one. You are joining cap to inside spin section with the screw.
