2005 crew cab

I'm going to look at one of these on Tuesday. 88k for miles, Lariat 4x4. Anything I need to look at as far as transmission or engine? After reading here this seems to be a bulletproof rig and is a high mileage life rig.

See if the owner knows when the plugs were last done. The 3-valve is pretty bullet proof, but can still have exhaust studs broken.

Make sure it doesn't tick.

If you end up NOT buying it, maybe post where it's located. Probably a few guys on here that would give it a serious look. Finding an 05-07 V10 in Lariat trim is rare.

Plugs and fluids would be first on the list. Hopefully the manifold studs are good to go, I know they're an issue.

IF I don't buy it I'll let you guys know where it's at.

Plugs probably haven't been changed since they're listed at 100k intervals in the book. If you like the truck I wouldn't let the plugs or the manifold studs be a deal breaker if you like truck See if you can use it as a point to negotiate from. Good luck.

i did not buy the truck. It's located in Wisconsin Rapids at the Ford dealer. The interior was very nice and the ride was great. I just wasn't feeling it with this truck. Maybe the next one will be different.
