Ill try to remember to post a pic sometime soon. I work a 12hr day and usually its sun up sun down before i get out to it. It might have to wait for my weekend.
I like this. Please post a pic. How was the install? I would have it painted to match my truck.
I think I'd skip the repaint, keep the OEM fuel door, and add something like one of THESE to the existing door. Could easily fab a retaining tab and pop-rivet it to the fuel filler well if necessary.
I had the problem of not locking, you have to remove the key and turn in real hard till it free spins. Hope this helps, I even called stant before I figured it out. It does work

I bought one of these as well. I could not figure out how to remove the stock door without damaging it.
Though I did not spend a ton of time looking at it...
Works great, but I think it detours the bored camping-kids just with the visual itself. I have a thread on my install here, but I think the step by step images were removed (photobucket).
I don't know if there are any insurance folks on here, but when I was talking to my wife about this she asked me if someone vandalized your vehicle by putting something in your fuel tank, and you drive it and contaminate the fuel system/engine... and the dealer refuses to fix it under warranty, does your auto insurance cover It? I would think they would...

The few that this has happened to {here}, have not gone this route and have paid out the several thousand dollars themselves.
Good question though, this may be a direct question that each person might want to inquire directly to their Ins Co.
Over the years I've heard of cases where insurance wouldn't pay theft claims if there weren't signs of breaking into the vehicle. With all the methods of opening a locked vehicle without damage that seems pretty ridiculous, but, in any case, a broken locking cap would only strengthen the claim. (Of course, a damaged fuel door would be more likely to remain at the scene...)
None in the truck market, as far as I know. But in the car world, its been available for what seems like forever. It just seems that trucks are late to the party? Hell, my 1984 Honda Prelude had a locking fuel door.

And the wifes 2016 Mercedes has nothing. Go figure.
