I have a 2000 F350 CC 4x4. A few months ago, my front end grenaded itself. Pinion bearing shredded After all the fluid drained out of the front end. I have acquired a Dana 50 from an Excursion, my truck also has the 50. I am swapping the entire axle out.
So, my question is concerning the sway bar attached to my donor axle. The diameter of it is 1.422 inches (36mm), where as my stock sway bar is 1.25 inches. Is there anything special I'd need to do to put this under my truck? Or can I just leave it attached to the axle and slap it under there. I'm replacing the end links and bushings, so I can swap it over if there's going to be some sort of issue. But I'd rather not buy bushings for both away bars and return whichever set I don't use.

 

If the sway bar links have the same part number I wouldn't worry about it.

Verify the gear ratio is the same too.

 

I got lucky enough to find one with the ID sticker still intact, 3.73 just like mine
