Doing some reading on brake fluids and found some very light discussion about DOT4 LV. Seems that it is used to improve ABS performance in cold weather (plus it seems to have better wet and dry specs than Dot 3 or Dot 4). I know the wife's Explorer is spec'd for it and that the Motorcraft webpage notes it is for many 2012+ vehicles.
Do the newer F150s take DOT 4 LV? Any changes to the brake system from my 2011? I am considering switching to the DOT 4LV in my 2011 from the OE spec'd DOT 3 for the improved cold weather ABS and pedal feel. Has anybody done this before? I'm having trouble finding people who have.
