95 bronco 5.0
95 bronco 5.0
I recently purchased at 95 bronco with bad motor. Also purchased a jasper motor off private seller. Motor was tagged 95 f150 5.0 go. After install I realized it wasn't an ho motor. After running numbers it's a 92 5.0. I then redid spark plug wires and it started. Runs good down road, but at idol it misses. Was going to have it timed, but was told it misses cause by computer firing injectors at wrong time. Should I change injector wires to match firing order? Any help is appreciated.
Is your truck MAF? If so then yes the injector firing order doesn't match and as you can see it does matter with sequential injection. Next question, does it have one O2 sensor on the passenger side only or one on each side? If there are 2 sensors rewiring the injectors will fix one problem but create another and the motor still won't run correctly so you would be advised to change the cam instead. If there is only 1 O2 sensor then you can rewire the injectors and it should run fine.
Cranks are all the same it is the cam that determines firing order. You only need to move wires for 4 injectors. Compare the firing orders and you can see what has to be done.. 15426378 and 13726548, #3 and #5 get swapped and #4 and #7 get swapped.
