I have an intermittent wiper switch from a 79 f350. Just wondering what is involved in putting a 79 switch into my 67 for intermittent wipers. Anybody done this?
Fits right in. Except the shaft has to be cut a little shorter. You need more than just the switch to install intermittent wipers though. Go here: How to Install a '78-'79 Factory Wiper Delay Setup A photo-tutorial on adding a very simple and convenient option using factory parts
Plug and play.
You don't HAVE to cut the shaft, but it is a little longer. It you do decide to cut it, use a hacksaw and don't heat up the shaft. It will melt the contacts to operate the washer motor.
Well, I got my intermittent wiper switch installed. Still need to mount the box to the steering column support. With my old switch you really couldn't tell much difference between the two speeds of the wipers. With this switch it's the same. The intermittent part works and the wipers work in both continuous speeds but there's just no hi speed. I've noticed the wiper motor has yellow writing on it like it was replaced at one time but just not sure why I don't see more of a difference in the two speeds. Sometimes it speeds up on high but mostly you can't tell high from low. Any ideas?

I would guess a dry windshield and a weak wiper motor or just a plain old worn out motor.
It has set under an oak tree this past week and had a lot of sap o the window and it actually stopped the wipers. I sprayed the window with soapy water and it picked a lot ! Think the motor is tired.
