How to run Vehicle Health Report?

So I grabbed the Ford Pass app.
The radio saw my phone had it added. So I started it. My phone immediately said "This app cannot be used while in motion". Odd. I'm sitting in my drive way.
Then the app on the screen said their was a permissions error. So I go into the permissions and say enable all. After that, the phone wouldn't do jack and the on screen info said a permissions error.
This was both on version 2 and version 2.3. I tried resetting the bluetooth connection, force stopping the app on the phone, restarting the truck and reinstalling the app on my phone.
Guess it isn't meant to be.

But what was your build date? How long did the truck set on the dealers lot?
Also as noted in other threads, short trip driving, does not allow the engine to reach full operating temp. which is harder on the oil.

Open Fordpass on the Phone.
Plug into the USB port in the center console.
Start Truck, and drive to destination. Short trips don't seem to cut it, about 10 minutes minimum seem to be needed.
I do tend to open FordPass on the center display, and run the health check at some point in the trip.
The Phone then updates with the Fuel Level and mileage of the vehicle
After about an hour, the report shows up on owner.ford.com.
It appears that only one updated report is generated per day (if you do the process multiple times).

I never got it to work over bluetooth. What I have found to work best is:
Open Fordpass on the Phone.
Plug into the USB port in the center console.

I upgraded Sync to 2.3. I've had multiple updates to the FordPass App. It worked one time and then never again.

What has worked best for me is to turn towards Kentucky and then yell into the sky "Ford, if there is anything wrong with my vehicle tell me" I get the same answer every time I hear nothing so I know it must be OK. I haven't updated it yet but I am confident it will continue to be as reliable and informative as it has always been for me.
