Nope....no extended idling. I've owned the truck about 1 month.

So I grabbed the Ford Pass app.

The radio saw my phone had it added. So I started it. My phone immediately said "This app cannot be used while in motion". Odd. I'm sitting in my drive way.

Then the app on the screen said their was a permissions error. So I go into the permissions and say enable all. After that, the phone wouldn't do jack and the on screen info said a permissions error.

This was both on version 2 and version 2.3. I tried resetting the bluetooth connection, force stopping the app on the phone, restarting the truck and reinstalling the app on my phone.

Guess it isn't meant to be.

But what was your build date? How long did the truck set on the dealers lot?

Also as noted in other threads, short trip driving, does not allow the engine to reach full operating temp. which is harder on the oil.

I never got it to work over bluetooth. What I have found to work best is:

Open Fordpass on the Phone.
Plug into the USB port in the center console.
Start Truck, and drive to destination. Short trips don't seem to cut it, about 10 minutes minimum seem to be needed.
I do tend to open FordPass on the center display, and run the health check at some point in the trip.

The Phone then updates with the Fuel Level and mileage of the vehicle
After about an hour, the report shows up on owner.ford.com.

It appears that only one updated report is generated per day (if you do the process multiple times).

I haven't tried it yet but it sounds like a pretty stupid setup to me, and looks like being from Canada I can't even get that. How does the torque pro thingy work?

I am planning to run Forscan for health reports. But any OBD2 wireless and either Torque Pro or DashBoss will read the data you want. Just have to figure out the data stream.

I once could see my Vehicle Health report but I haven't been able to see it again since the first time. This software sucks! So frustrating. Anyone found the answer yet?

I upgraded Sync to 2.3. I've had multiple updates to the FordPass App. It worked one time and then never again.

I have been unable to view the reports for about a month. I used to login to owner.ford.com so I could see engine oil life percentage, but nothing as of late.

I also got it to work once, then never again. It did require USB connection when it worked. I chalked it up to the fact I updated to a beta version of Sync 3.0, but seems it's hit and miss no matter what version of Sync you have.

I also get the "you do not have permissions" error or something to that effect. I even tried calling Ford from the app and they were not able to help with it either. Bottom line is it does not work!

Surprisingly....my Vehicle Health Report started working on owner.ford.com. I show 83% oil life.

Anyone else???

What has worked best for me is to turn towards Kentucky and then yell into the sky "Ford, if there is anything wrong with my vehicle tell me" I get the same answer every time I hear nothing so I know it must be OK. I haven't updated it yet but I am confident it will continue to be as reliable and informative as it has always been for me.
