Guys, look closely at your 8" Productivity Display when the display is set to off-road or towing. Mine flickers slightly, always has. Does anyone else notice this?
My wife and I noticed that the center screen "resets" in less than a minute. I think that would be the sync screen. It looks like a flicker but it redraws the entire screen. It is a bit distracting. I'm on sync 3.2.0.
I'm just talking about the one located between the speedometer and tachometer. I've only had the Sync screen in the center stack reboot on me once. I have not upgraded it from stock.
Mine is all stock also. I'll keep an eye on the instrument screen to see if it does it also. As far as I know they are separate systems so I wouldn't expect that they flicker at the same time but you never know.
I haven't noticed this effect. Could be 'your' eyes also, let me explain a little. Some people process (yes, in their brains lol) different frame rates/sec. than other peeps. We sold DLP TV sets when they first came out. The "shutter" or flicker effect was seen by a very few while others never saw this. They have since sped up the DLP's (actually use other light sources now) so it's not a factor.
So maybe "you" can see this where others maybe don't? Just a wild thought!

I think Torverman needs to upgrade his eyeball refresh rate. ;_
OK, so I looked again last night. I was returning one of my trailers to the shop, and so by default the towing screen was up. The flicker occurs in the "gray" area of the gradient, towards the top of the screen. The other areas of the screen are not flickering. I believe it does it on all the different screen pages, but it is really only noticeable on screen pages with large areas of gray like the towing or off road screens.
I think my eyeball refresh rate is OK, because the Sync screen looks fine as does the smaller 4.2" screen in our 2016 F-150. I could try to make a video.

I'm hauling my tin-can tomorrow (Weds) to Vermont, I will specifically look at the gray gradient region of the tow screen (comes up by default once i hookup anyways, right!?).

Perfect. Yes, it is the screen that comes up by default when you plug your trailer in.

I have a brand new 2020 F350 with the 8" Screen. It flickers like crazy at night when it goes to night screen and headlights r on. It doesn't do it when its in reverse, b/u camera remains steady and constant. Also, if u have the dash light dimmer set to full bright, the flashing seems to go away... but if u dim those lights, it starts to flicker and the more u dim them, the worse it gets.... needs to be fixed. Truck has 75 miles on it... like i want them ripping the truck apart to find the cure.... i have only driven
it 2 days.
i have been trying many different scenarios to diag what is going wrong. It flickers on all functions, like nav, sat radio, climate control screen"....flickers on them all other than the 2 backup cameras. Only experiencing it when headlights r on and it is dark enough to activate the night screen.
