This is a good engine for a rebuild with some serious HP. Check the head casting numbers for the chamber size, but i'd guess about 74cc's. This makes it difficult to stroke the engine and keep the compression low enough for even premium gas. However, with a decent port and polish and some larger valves, a simple .030" bore and a good cam will give you the power you're looking for. These engines have good breathing, but a little help and a good dual exhaust with headers will really open it up for you. It's relatively easy to get north of 500HP out of them.

That's what dished pistons are for. Stroker kits usually are offered in both flat top and dished piston options
